Today at 12.36 pm local time our son Oskar (German version of Oscar) was born at the Prince of Wales Hospital, Hong Kong. All participants are doing fine, exhausted, but apart from that also very happy.

Today at 1.05 am local time our son Anton (German version of Anthony) was born at the Prince of Wales Hospital, Hong Kong. At the moment we´re still all rather exhausted, but apart from that also very happy. All participants are doing well.

Wow, I´m a father!

Today was my first official day at HKBU! It didn´t happen too much, because lessons only begin next week, however there was at least a «Staff Orientation Day» at Shaw-Campus (above).

Obviously everything is very new and in large parts very different. Nevertheless, sometimes it is also quite surprising how similar things can be between Hong Kong and Weimar. Most remarkably however: no matter whom I come across here, everybody has been extremely friendly, supportive and fantastically effective.

I´m looking forward to next week!

After our first couple of days in Shatin we are beginning to find our ways round and getting to know the place. Certainly no beauty – eventhough it´s just a suburb it has 700.00 inhabitants – but full of exciting news things to discover.

And very different to Weimar and other place we ever lived at.

After a 12-hour flight and a short taxi-drive we arrived this morning in our new flat in Shatin, Hong Kong! We really did do it!
